There is always a thirst for something more; the aching in the heart of searching for peace. The desire to have your mind just remain at peace. What I have not figured out is how or why?

The conclusion I have drawn is Christ wants us to have him at the center of our lives. I have written blogs which talk about turmoil, pain, heart ache but, in the end there is always the light. Even in the darkest of moments while writing and revisiting those times Christ helped me through these times.

Psalms 23: 1-4 (NIV Beautiful Words Bible 2015 Zondervan; pg. 606) The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2) He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3) he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4) Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

This is my go to scripture, no matter what I am currently being faced with I will always think to myself HE IS GOING TO GET ME THROUGH HE VALLEY! It may take him a lot of work especially since I don’t relinquish very easily to the LORD! I WANT CONTROL. He never ceases to amaze me; He is always faithful and never wavers.

Why Waiting at the Well? Good question; we are all different, not just by the way we look on the inside but even how we feel and react on the inside. The story of Jesus speaking to the Samaritan woman in John chapter 4. When Jesus comes to the well of Jacob exhausted from his travels he asked the Samaritan woman for a drink of water from the well, the woman recognized that Jesus was a Jew and even questioning Him as to why is he even speaking to her. Let’s take a look at this scripture further.

John 4: 10-13 (NIV Beautiful Words Bible 2015 Zondervan pg.1255) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” 11) “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12) Are you greater than your father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?” 13) Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14) but whoever drinks he water I give them will never thirst, Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

We all desire to have the living water in more ways that one; it is such comfort that Jesus saw the differences in people and even when the woman at the well talked about worshipping. Jesus talks about a time when this will change as described in John 4: 19-24. In verse 24 Jesus is describing God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the spirit and the truth.

What is the truth? What is the spirit? let’s find out together on a journey in our relationships with Christ and share in the living water he has a desire for all of us. After all his desire is for each of us to have a Christ centered life. TRUST, FAITH & BELIEF
